Winter Inquiries for Caribbean are reported to be strong.

The amount of inquiries coming in for the winter season is stronger than anticipated. It has been reported by several management companies in the Caribbean that the demand so far for winter 2009 has exceeded 2008. Although space is not yet at a premium for most weeks, there are dates that are starting to sell out.

One of the most popular spots this year is St. Barts. Three villas in St. Barts that we recommend are SIB DOL, SIB JAY, and SIB KYR. They are all beautiful villas and normally in high demand.

Hawaiian Villas are better than ever.

The quality of the rental villas in Hawaii has just become better and better. Some of our staff have recently returned from a trip to Maui and were all impressed with the abundance of modern conveniences in all of the villas that they visited. Of particular note are Aqua Lani, Blue Horizons, and Sun Splash. Each combines elegance and convenience.

St. Martin with a view!

I have recently returned from St. Martin and fell in love with the island all over again. Each time I return to St. Martin I’m still surprised at the number of world class restaurants to be found. Although the dollar is relatively weak, I still found the prices not too much more than they would be in the US, but the quality is truly remarkable.

Not all of the restaurants are expensive. For those vacationers that need to keep their dining costs under control, there is a wide assortment of restaurants and cafes offering modest prices, but the quality is still superior, and the sheer number of restaurants to choose from is unbelievable.

I had the pleasure of staying at a wonderful villa on the French side called Libellule. This five bedroom villa has understated elegance, and within minutes of arriving I felt as comfortable as if I were in my own house. One of the features of Libellule is the amazing view from all parts of the villa. Perched up on a hillside, there are views from all rooms. The extra large swimming pool has a fabulous view of Simpson Bay Lagoon and affords ultimate privacy with a panorama. The living room, dining room and verandah all look out over Baie Rouge, completing almost a 360-degree view of the island. As a bonus, there is a walkway down the hill that leads to the beach. Libellule is not only a quality villa, but it rents for a relatively affordable price.
